Nothing new

I wish I could call up the energy to get myself to the grocery.  The last time I shopped I bought some individual size (3.6 oz) cups of Haagen Dazs ice cream - a perfect size for a snack or dessert.  I'm out of them and think I'll just buy the larger size, chocolate and vanilla.  No off-the-wall flavors for me!

Yesterday my son, Joe, took his final exam and passed it, so he is now an official respiratory therapist!  I'm so proud of him.

I'm not going to write any more today because I feel too crappy.  I just took an Alleve and am hoping it will reduce the aches and pains.

  1. So sorry you aren't feeling better! And well you should be proud of Joe. Our daughter has been a respiratory therapist here in TX for about 25 years. It is a good field. Flu season keeps them busy. Do hope that Aleve worked wonders for you!

  2. Congratulations to Joe! I've just recently had occasion to use a respiratory therapist when I got my CPAP machine.

Hope you feel better, you've had a tough run lately.

  3. Wonderful for Joe. Lots of hard work to get there that's for sure. You have good reason to be proud. But what is your doctor saying about your pain? How long should this go on???

  4. Get feeling better fast. My Mother always said that getting old wasn't for sissies, and now that I am over 70 I must agree with her.

  7. Congratulations to Joe - Good Job! You deserve an "Atta Boy!" Gypsy you must be very proud.

I hope you get your energy back soon, but - not to be a downer - they say it takes a full year after surgery to be back where you started and I've found that to be true. You'll feel better and better, have more and more energy, and all of a sudden in about a year, you'll say to yourself, Boy I feel great! Then you'll realize it's been a year. That's what happens with me, anyway.

Don't fret about it, though. You know how fast time flies, and you just need to take care of yourself and get some of that ice cream. Geez, I wish that would keep me healthy, but unfortunately ice cream just makes me fat!!! :)
