I think I have the flu

It started about 36 hrs ago with a slight sore throat but no other symptom. I looked it up online and found that to have swine flu rather than another type of flu, you must have a fever and body aches, and I had neither. By early yesterday evening the slight fever hit and I developed a bit of a cough so I went to bed early. This morning I have the feeling that laryngitis isn't far away. I am still in denial about the swine flu, but time will tell I guess. What in the world will I do cooped up in this 5th wheel alone for a week, and without any computer amusement except in the morning. I sure hope I didn't give it to my grandsons!

It rained heavily last night and this morning is very mild. As usual, all the geese on the lake take off when Lady and I come into sight, and their wings flapping in unison sounds like a drum roll.

Thanks to each and every person who commented on my computer problems. I had originally hoped I could salvage my desktop (I love the monitor, if nothing else) as I am so familiar with the XP operating system. I have come to realize that it is not really salvageable, nor is the laptop, so whether Mac or PC I will want something that isn't so out of date. I had a shopping trip planned for the coming weekend but that's out of the question now.

  2. Haul your blender out of the cabinet Gypsy, grap yourself some carrots, lettuce, celery, apples, orange juice, skim milk, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, oatmeal, & whatever other healthy thing you can think of & throw it all in the blender. Hit the blender switch, swoosh it all up & drink it all down. Do this every morning for the rest of your life & maybe, just maybe, you will never be bothered by colds or flu again:)) We're thinking about ya Gypsy so get yourself well.......

Re you computer situation...stick with the XP. If you like your monitor, you could keep that and just get a new hardrive. Good luck Gypsy.
