I have a lot to learn

I realized that after using my new laptop just a short while last night. I have difficulty adjusting the screen - nothing I am working on stretches out to fit the area I'm working in. The picture in the blog header has never fit the screen and it doesn't with this one either. I really need to learn how to use this beautiful machine to my greatest benefit, and that will take time. First of all, it is planning to teach me a lesson in patience.

Many of the RV bloggers are experimenting with color and size in their daily blogs, and I think they really look good. I thought about it for myself, but I'm sure I would mess it up to the point I'd never recover and then there would be no more "Gypsy's on the road again". It ain't broke and I ain't gonna fix it!

I took my truck for an oil change today and got a new air filter. The old one was filthy from the Lassen dust. Now I need to check the water levels in my RV batteries, a job I dislike intensely. To make matters worse my big flashlight has been lost, "lifted", or misplaced, and without it I can't even see the water level. Then, the dreaded job of getting up on the roof and determining if I can get the new vent cover on. Of course I can do it, but I'm not gonna like doing it and I have no idea how to begin.

I've talked long enough about what I need to do, so I'd better get moving on it!

  1. I can sympathize with you on the "messing around with the blog". I've tried a couple of times to add a gadget or 2 but it doesn't work and then I get nervous about tinkering further. What I have on there now is what will just have to stay I'm thinking.

Good luck on the RV roof and remember you're doing it without a net!

Have fun working out the details on the new Mac.

  2. Hey, Gypsy - you're well ahead of most of them, LOL. A lot of bloggers seem to be opting for the "two-column stretch" look which is exactly what you already have! So, you're ahead of the curve. I'd just wait until everyone catches up to you.

  3. I just went to www.youtube.com. put in at the top replacing vent on 5th wheel. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=replace+vent+on+5th+wheel&search_type=&aq=f

Maybe that will help. Any questions on HOW TO do something I'm learning videos in youtube is normally there. Good luck on the vent.

  4. Me, too Gypsy. My new Mac is super but I am kinda green right now. I feel like I am in the drivers seat of a new Caterpillar earth mover: I dont know where to start. But it will be fun learning.
