Monday Blues

Yes, I have the blues today, but not because it's Monday. I quit dreading Mondays the day I retired and have never looked back.

I only accomplished two things today: I did my laundry (big deal); I called the eye doctor's office and set my appointment up a couple of weeks, so that I will see him a week from Wednesday.

Tomorrow I am going to get in my truck, fire up that diesel engine, and drive to somewhere. Nowhere far, maybe only to the library, but I'm going to get out on my own for a while.

  1. Good for you. A nice walk in a new area will often clear out those Monday cobwebs.

  2. I think this was a blue Monday for several people. Jim is just kind of blah today and Roger said he was really having a lousy day. Tomorrow will be better for everybody.

  3. Know how you feel. Storms here in Central Texas keep me on edge all the time. I am glad you are going to the doctor a little early. Just getting out, period, seems to help.

  4. Yep, I know what you mean by the Monday blues. Or Tuesday, or Wednesday or whenever. The Boredom Blues I call them. Always glad to read how you feel. It's a real world here we live in despite some folks claiming their lives are 'happy hour' twenty four seven. I like blog writers who are down to earth & honest with their feelings. Not all of them are!!

  5. I think thats what makes blogging interesting, when you have a good day you share it and when you don't you share it too, I know when I have a bad day I am not shy, most bloggers like to try and lift your spirits when you are down, That itself shows what I have said all my life, that the majority of people are good people and not centered on what's in it for Me. Enjoy your day out Gypsy, Be safe out ther. Sam & Donna.

  6. I hear what you're saying, Gypsy. I'm usually a pretty positive person, but the last few days I've been feeling downright cranky. It has to do with boredom and being trapped in my son's driveway.

Getting to see the possible new rig this afternoon should help. :)
Why don't you head out to look at a new rig for yourself??

  7. Like the others have said, Gypsy, it happens to all of us. Those who say "life's a bowl of cherries" all of the time must, on occasion, bite into a few "pits".

  8. Gypsy,

Sorry to hear you are in a funk, but really glad you are going back to the Doctor. I will sure pray that all turns out well, and I am sure you will feel better after getting out in the truck. Stay safe. Pidge
