Just a quick note.

I thought I'd write a few lines to tell you that I'm leaving late tomorrow to pick up my lab puppy Rocky in Arizona.

The airlines evidently aren't transporting pets to certain cities because of the high temps, so Jeannie & Donald are driving me to pick up Rocky.   So the next time I post I will have to be keeping an eye on a little curious lab while I'm writing.

I saw an eye surgeon today who thinks my eye looks wonderful, and thinks I can travel if I'm careful to watch out for signs of distress due to elevation change too quickly.  I'm trying to figure the best route that doesn't involve a lot of change, but we will just go slow and if I experience difficulties, then we will slow down or stop until the pressure in my eye reaches equilibrium.

  1. Hey, I'm in AZ! Let me know when and where and I'll meet you for a cuppa and maybe meet Rocky. Shadowmoss at Gmail.

    1. Thank you very much. I would love to meet up with you if our location and the timing work out. Right now I think we are going to leave in the middle of the night on Thursday, but I will know for sure when we are pulling out. I have to get it in my head that after years and years of driving myself everywhere, in an RV as well as an SUV, I'm not longer in charge. I'm going to try to post when I get to AZ.

  2. Driving home from Arizona with a puppy will require very frequent stops or lots of rolls of paper towels. . . just in case.

    1. Haha! I've already bought a big box of puppy pads, and have packed a few of them for the trip!

    1. Thanks, Jo. I hope everything goes smoothly and we don't have any traffic slowdowns.

    1. I think it's about 13 hrs, depending on how fast my s-i-l drives!

  5. Wish we were in AZ so we could meet Rocky. Have a safe trip. Do you have a crate for him?

    1. I think the breeder is bringing him in some sort of crate, although from the pictures it looks like he barely fits. I'm going to take the crate that Ara used when she shipped her cat, Banjo, to Jeannie's house, as it seems larger than the one shown.
