At about 3:30 this afternoon if felt warm enough to shed my flannel pj's and don shorts and a t-shirt.  It is in the upper 70's but still feels cool in the house.  Every now and then I feel guilty for doing nothing today but reading and watching a bit of Book TV, but not really all that guilty.  I seem to need more days like this as time goes on.

Tammy, a reader of my blog, has written to tell me that when she tries to leave a comment she has to do the two-word verification.  I checked it to make sure I hadn't inadvertently checked the box when I switched to no anonymous comments, but "no word verification" was still in effect.  I would like to know if anyone else has run into this when trying to comment on my blog.   for the way it comes out.

When Blogger had the regular one-word verification is was hassle enough.  I really detest the two word thing because you can't always separate the scrunched up letters, and can barely make out the two digit numbers.  I'd quit blogging altogether before I would put anyone through that idiotic exercise.  So if it happens to anyone else trying to leave a comment, please let me know - my email address is posted right below the header picture.  And thanks.

It's been a do-nothing day and results in nothing to blog about.  Later.

  1. Those days can be so relaxing and then I always feel better the rest of the week. I'm with Judy, concentrate on certain regions for all the parks. There are so many great ones.

  3. I didn't have to do anything to post my above comment than to push the comment button.

  4. Thought I would try to comment from my phone which I never do to see if that Is where Tammy's problem is. So I will put another comment if I get the verification request. Otherwise no problem. I love those do nothing days and never feel guilty. ENJOY!!

  7. I've never had to do that horrid two thing verification on your blog. It's a good thing, because it really dissuades me from commenting. :) But then perhaps others are happy I can't figure those things out???

  10. No word verification for me. And it's really okay to have a day of relaxing and reading. Those are good things.

  11. I seem to have many of those days myself. Down time is good, embrace it. As a country, we were (until the jobs went away) so work oriented, always paddling upstream to hopes and dreams. Now in the autumn of one's life, we need to enjoy those times when we do nothing and get in touch with our inner self. Easy for some and not so much for others.

  12. This is a trial I also detest those word verifications. I give up leaving comments if I have to do that.

  14. I LOVE lazy days, and although it's hard not to feel guilty, gosh Gypsy, we've worked hard all our lives. We deserve to spend our days the way we want. I think our bodies and minds need some downtime too, don't you?

When I was working and had a day off with nothing to do, I'd have a "Be nice to Barbara day." I only did exactly whet I wanted to do. I think you deserve a "Be nice to Gypsy day" whenever you want one. :)
