Rain, all day

It's a dreary day and I don't feel like going anywhere, so I haven't.  I love the treadmill the more I use it (never thought that would happen) and I've managed to do some walking just about every day since I've been here.

We finished another puzzle, this one a collage of scenes and signs from Las Vegas.  There were two pieces missing, and today I found one on the floor under the table, but haven't been able to find the other one.  Click to enlarge.

There are some names I guess you just have to be older to appreciate.  I had a puzzle piece with the name Trini Lopez on it, and no one had ever heard of him.  He sang "If I had a Hammer", didn't he?  After Peter, Paul & Mary, of course.  There were some other oldies as well.

The next few days will have rain as well as some sun, so I might feel like going somewhere.  Maybe it's still the long drive that's bothering me.  I don't feel sleepy or exhausted, but just have no motivation for now.  I'll eventually get over it.

  1. I remember Trini Lopez & yes he did sing 'If I Had A Hammer'. I had that 45 rpm record years ago. He died a couple years back. He also sang 'Lemon Tree'. Think I heard he died last year or the year before.

  2. Those are the kind of puzzles I love to work! Lots going on in them. Have quite a collection of 1,000 piece ones not opened yet. I got an iPad and an app for jigsaw puzzles---- that has kept me from the actual hands-on pieces. Yes, we here in TX have several days of rain in the forecast. Sure wish we could share some of it with CA!! We have a treadmill. Unlike you, I am LAZY!

  3. Since I only see one piece missing, you must have put the piece you found on the floor into the puzzle. I would call it complete, because there would be no question which piece would go into the last open spot.

  4. We have been on the road for ten days and it has rained every day-some days all day with tornado warnings as an added bonus.

  5. At least your using the treadmill so your not just doing nothing. That was a long drive and I know I sure wouldn't be in to much of a rush to go driving around. great looking puzzle

  8. Raining, raining, raining here too. That's a great looking puzzle. I guess I should get some of mine out and try them. I never had the patience. Always would rather read a book.

  9. I do not have the space for a puzzle as big as yours and probably not the patience either. They were a favorite pass time of mine when I was younger and an activity the whole family participated in.
