Lunch with old and new friends

What a treat it was to see Paul and Mary (Boris and Natasha) again, and John and Sandy, two new fulltimers I had not yet met. They drove over from their RV park in West Sacramento to my apartment, and the 5 of us went to lunch at Appleby's.

It has taken just about all my willpower in the last month to keep from falling into a real slump, and being with these friends for a couple of hours has bolstered my mood and my attitude. Mary also brought along hellos and hugs from several RVers, and I would like to send my own back to you all. I wish I could meet everyone I've gotten to know from their blogs, and hope the day will come that I can be back on the road and crossing paths with some of you.

So for me, the sun is shining a little brighter today, and I'm so grateful for the effort these folks made to get together with me.

  1. Blogging Buddies are the best!!! I'm glad you got to meet John and Sandy and reconnect with Boris and Natasha. Sounds like you had a great time.

  2. Good for you, Gypsy. I'll bet it was a very enjoyable lunch!

  3. It was neat to see a picture of Paul and Mary because it brings back the good times we had with them in AZ.

Glad you had a fun lunch. Contact with old and new friends is what life is all about.

  4. It was SO wonderful to see you again, Gypsy! Thanks so much for making the time and showing us around your new 'hood. We look forward to seeing you again somewhere down the road. Keep smiling!

  5. It's so nice you were able to visit with your buddies. Glad you had a nice time.

  6. Gypsy,

We have followed your blog for quite sometime, so it was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. We had a great time at lunch today; and hopefully we can do it again sometime.

    Thanks, John and Sandy

  7. Although we mainly keep to ourselves most of the time it is sometimes a boost to morale when getting together with old friends for a bit. No interest in doing it all the time like years ago but once & awhile it is nice to sit down, have a few laughs, touch base & renew old friendships. Nice to meet new folks too as long as it doesn't turn out to be a whole day thing. Long visits can be very, very, tiring.

  8. Oh it's so cool to meet up with Camping Family! What a nice pic of everyone around the table together. John and Sandy are fellow Wisconsinites, retired and moved on from a town not too far away from me, been following their travels since they hit the road too.
