I think I'm getting better!

At least my appetite is returning, which is a good sign.  I have one more cancer treatment on Friday, and then I get a break of several months before starting another round.

It doesn't do me much good to have an appetite when I no longer cook (except in the microwave!).  I do have a few fast and easy things I could nuke, but it's not worth the trouble to me right now.  I may change my mind later.  I did make pancakes for my breakfast, so that's the most cooking I'll do for the rest of the week!

Nothing new on the house front, except that I'm looking at the houses for sale in the neighborhood we are interested in.  Sometimes I'm surprised at the decor of the listings - I guess I'm thinking of certain principles from when I was younger, and I'm  surprised the real estate agents don't exert more influence on sellers who seem to be making mistakes in showing their house.  I just looked at a listing in which every single room seems to be painted/decorated in grey tones.  A little grey goes a long way!  If you love it by all means do it; but when looking for a buyer, or from a buyer's standpoint, I'd personally prefer to have a neutral white or off-white background.

Every day I see something that makes me realize how old I'm getting!  But I'm determined to turn over a new leaf and try to be as positive as I can be!

  1. I guess you'll eat if you get hungry but you need to feed your body for the treatments.

I was talking to my grandson about painting white (hate white) for resale and he said no white or biege people these days like color not crazy color but some. I like color so I'm OK.

Hope this comment posts I noticed not many do for some reason

    1. I agree that many people like color, but my idea of the perfect color might be different than someone else's. I'd hate to lose a good offer or sale becausse someone hated my color choice. But like I said, I'm old and set in my ways, lol.

    1. I feel ravenous a lot of the time, but in addition to meals I find myself snacking a lot.

  3. We've always painted neutral colors when we wanted to sell. We all have different ideas of what looks good paintwise. Cooking for one (even 2) gets old really quick. But you still need to eat properly to keep on feeling good.

    1. I agree totally - neutral is best when trying to sell. Let the new buyers paint colors to their heart's content!

  4. I finally got caught up with your blog. I am glad you and your family have been able to look at homes.

I am not planning on buying a house but I am addicted to Realtor.com and I would never hire some realtors who do not tell their clients to declutter or get rid of personal items. It only emphasizes the lack of space in some houses.

Some have very dark and wild colors like taxi yellow, bright red, or purple. It might not turn off some people but it certainly would dissuade me from buying said property.

I am glad your appetite is coming back and that tomorrow will be your last cancer treatment for a while.

    1. I certainly agree with you. When I sold my condo in Northern Virginia, I thought everything looked perfect. The agent insisted I paint every room in the house in white paint. Most of it was already colorless, but she said I had to repaint everything. She also insisted I should have new carpet laid down throughout the condo. I sold my place the first day on the market, and for my asking price.
