More Dental Work

I'm really getting sick and tired of all this!  I thought today would be the last, but I need to go back one more time.  My clock says it is 1:20 pm and I still have a bit of numbness left, so I haven't been able to eat.  I drank a cup of hot chocolate, and ate a couple of spoons of ice cream, but I'm still starving.

So now I don't know what I will do with the rest of my week.  I wanted to isolate the dog and me, but there are things I need to do.  For one thing I meet my granddaughter after school and walk her back to my place.  As long as she needs me to do that, I will be there for her.  I hope the schools are keeping up with what is happening with the virus and won't wait until the last minute to close down for the duration.

I'd like to hear how you are planning, or not planning, for a possible disaster caused by the virus in your area.  Have you stocked up on necessities?  Can you remain indoors for an extended time?  Do you have to go out to work?
What other issues do you see ahead?

I haven't done anything today and tomorrow I am going to devote some time and attention to Rocky.  I should walk him up for another nail trim, but i'm not very happy with the way they don't take enough off.  I need to find a professional groomer but I'll probably have to spend a lot more money.

I think I'll try to go to bed a little earlier tonight.  I probably will find it difficult to go to sleep because I'm hungry!

Good night everyone - see ya again soon.

    1. I am so sick of washing my hands, lol. I have groceries delivered but like to shop at Costco for large quantities.

  2. I'm not sweating it. I'm aware of the problem and since I have asthma, I'm doing what I do every winter. I avoid crowds and don't go places that have higher than normal infection rates (doctor's offices, pharmacies and hospitals) if I can help it. Nor am I stockpiling. That said, I come from a farming background so I have more that 3 to 5 days worth of groceries in my pantry at any one time and use my mama's inventory system to keep it suitably stocked.

Here's my two cents worth on this strain of flu. From what I've read, the current flu season has killed more people than this particular strain of flu has. And, in all likelihood, if you do catch it, you will probably recover from it, if the percentage charts are to be believed. It will be rough but it isn't the bubonic plague.

    1. It would be bad enough, but at 79 I worry more than I normally would. Also I worry about my kids, all in their 40's and all with fairly young children.

  3. Very well stocked up with food supplies as is normal for me with it still being winter. Always have lots of paper supplies on hand that I purchase from Costco.

In my rural area we do not have mail delivery so have to make a post office run a couple of times a week and pick up any needed groceries at the same time.

With a compromised immune system I am staying in a little more and try to do my "chores" in the morning so that I can spent the afternoon sewing and making charity quilts.

    1. I love Costco and many if not most of my supplies are from there. I feel pretty good and hope I have enough to make it through the worst of the virus season.

  4. Thank goodness we have excellent reporters, news organizations, and networks that put out the alarm way before this administration confronted this virus which in my opinion they are still trying to minimize for political reasons.

As I have mentioned before all my years of living in Houston, Texas paid off since we had to be prepared for hurricane season something we always heeded.

Since I hate shopping but love to bargain hunt I always have bought more than my fair share if I found a good buy to help me keep stocked up.

I too have to drive to town as we live out in the country so I can pick up the mail now mostly junk as I am signed up for paperless billing on almost everything.

    1. I don't mind shopping - at least I didn't mind it before all this virus scare. I have food, paper products, etc., and just hope they last until the virus is over.

  5. I did my shopping on Monday, I stocked up on food but not much more than usual and have been cooking and storing the usual meal portions and freezing them. I didn't need toilet tissue but did need tissues as it is alergy season so I picked up my usuall 2 3 pk. The store was well stocked because they had the forsite to not bring out more than they usual so they did not run out. I don't go out that much anyway and since I have COPD I will leave the house less but I'm not going to be a shut in. Like Judy said more people have died this flu season from the flue than what is coming in with this coronavirus

    1. I'm too old to want to chance the flu or the coronavirus!
