Clearfield, PA

Tonight I am in a very nice place to make up for the dinginess of last night's lodging. The weather has been beautiful, making me wonder if I should stop at a campground, but to tell the truth I don't feel well and want to get to NY tomorrow so I can begin looking for emergency dental work, find a walmart optical center to fill my rx for glasses, and a few other things. I hope my laptop charger is waiting for me because if it isn't then I will bite the bullet and get a new one. I hate to have to do that though.

Pennsylvania is drop-dead gorgeous in these parts, and I have a super view from the big double-door windows. I'm also very close to a spacious grassy area so Lady can enjoy her walks.

I'll write more when I get this thing charged back up. I want to save enough power to check email before I go to bed tonight and again when I wake up.

See ya from New York! (I am so happy to be back east for a while.)

  1. I spent the night in Clearfield on my way to my sisters last fall, stayed at the Quality Inn, they had a Great Mexican restaurant right at the hotel with the coldest $1.50 drafts I had had in a while a great place to overnight. Enjoy the rest of your journey and blow the horn when you go by Scranton. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna

  2. Welcome to Pa.

And it is pretty all over the state, just to much traffic for me...

    From Lancaster..

  3. Clearfield PA - you are only a couple hours from us. When you get to the Lewisburg exit on I-80, that's just about in our backyard.
I'm glad you made it this far - proud of you - take care!

  5. My cousins have a camp (summer home) just north west of Clearfield. I will probably stop there this summer when I head to Pennsylvania for a family reunion. Clear Creek State Park and Cooks Forest State Park are both real nice and very close to you.

  10. Sounds like you are on the home stretch. Glad everything all went well with the trip. And yes we have all spent a few nights in those dingy nasty motels. A primary reason we became RVers in the first place. Have fun with your family..
