There just hasn't been much going on in my life to write about lately. I have been feeling a lot better and attribute that to the recent changes in my diet, but that could be temporary so I won't celebrate yet. I'm gluten-free, mostly grain free, dropped most of the fruit I was eating, and now I make sure I'm getting lots of meat in meals. Oh, and I'm cutting down on dairy although haven't given up certain items yet (butter and 1/2 & 1/2 are two that I will probably never give up).
I also read that if you have severe indigestion you should eat some fermented foods every day, so I found an organic brand of sauerkraut in the dairy case at the grocery. It is made buy a small company, not at all like the kind you buy in a jar. I love it and eat a couple heaping tbsp with my dinner every day. I think it makes a huge difference. Most of the stuff I've tried has too strong a vinegary taste, but this isn't bad at all.
I have my entire day free until I join the girls at the gym after work, so I made a trip to Costco. I had no list and walked up and down every single aisle in the store. I wanted to buy some bermuda shorts but they are low-waisted and they would hang below the belly. What an ugly concept except possibly for a skinny young girl who has never given birth. The rest of us should probably stay out of them.
I've been thinking about getting out my little charcoal grill but doubt if I'll ever use it again. It's hardly worth it to grill for just myself.
If I'm going to take a quick nap I should do it soon. Hope everyone has been having a great week. I love our cooler weather and we expect one more glorious day of it before the temps start to climb into the uncomfortable zone!
