Love the weather!

We are having a beautiful breezy day today in the 60's.  It will be short lived though, because starting tomorrow it will rise into the 70's and 80's.  I put all my "winter" clothes away and had to rummage through them for something to wear today.  I call them "winter" clothes, but it's difficult to find what I remember as winter-weight clothing in this part of the country.

I'm not doing much of anything today but just trying to keep a low profile, so I don't have anything to write about.   I'm ready to sketch my latest drawing attempt onto a canvas but taking my time!   My close-up eyesight is getting much worse, and a search online shows about half the responses say computer usage and looking at screens doesn't affect Macular degeneration one way or another, and the other half say it possibly could be a factor.

I hope your weekend is going well, or quiet if you want it that way (as I do).

  1. Sorry to hear your eyes seem to be worsening. I just recently bought some "blue-blocker" glasses off Amazon which are supposed to help with computer use and LED lighting. Haven't been using them for very long so can't tell you if I notice a difference yet, but they are supposed to protect eyes and help with eye strain. The glasses are pretty cheap.

    1. I worry that my vision has gone beyond anything that can help restore some of it. I have a theory that the longer a person lives the more likely they are to have medical issues, whether like me with my eyes, or as some who have problems with their knees & skeletal system. Also, I'm told that people who have smoked are much more likely to get mac degeneration later. I'm paying the price for my former lifestyle!

  2. Sounds like nice weather you have there. I'll be waiting to see your next painting

    1. The sketch I do always looks better to me than the finished product in acrylic. I am my own biggest critic and could never satisfy myself that any of it is good. Human nature, I guess.
