Nothing new or different

Nothing has changed and I've stayed pretty much immobile today.  It's probably not the best thing for me to do but I lack energy to do anything else.

The weather and other flight problems caused my son & his 2 boys to be arriving in Sac tonight rather than yesterday as originally scheduled.  We've had some terrific rainstorms this afternoon - I think it's the worst I've experienced so far.  It looks like NY has better weather than we do, with a couple of days in the 70's coming up.  It's 50's and 60's here, but I still prefer that to the 90's and above that we will be experiencing soon enough.

I may not post for a few days, depending on if I have anything to write about.  Just writing that I'm cold, tired, and unwell is getting old to me, so I can understand that none of you want to read the same old thing either.  I will post if I have even a small tidbit of interesting news to relate.  Meanwhile, have a nice weekend.

  1. I hope very much that you'll feel better soon. Weather is a problem here too. It can drag one down. Hugs to you :-)

    1. Thank you, Vera. The rain and wind combination is very depressing to me as it's so strong. I don't remember it ever being this bad. I hope I can sleep tonight.

  2. If we don't hear something from you we may worry.... but you do what your
able to do. It seems to me that you would have heard about your tests if
there were big problems. That's my good thoughts for you.
Will be a boost for you to see your son and grandsons. Cheers to you ! 😊

    1. Thanks, Linda. I will probably try to write a few lines if only to let everyone know I'm ok. I am a little nervous living alone with worrying about heart problems. Never felt that way up to now. My son has had a real ordeal getting here, and I hope they can get checked in and get some sleep. The travel delays have already taken 2 days off their visiting time with us.

  3. Maybe it's time to check into one of those life alert systems. If I lived alone, I sure would be checking on it. Sure hope they can figure out something to make you feel better. Keep checking in.

    1. There are several items on the market that I have decided I will never use. Life Alert is way down on the "possibly" list. It's ironic but my mind is nowhere near the stage and age that I need any of that stuff. Somewhere along the line, my body aged and got way ahead of everything else!

  4. I just did a google search of Life Alert and similar systems and was shocked at how PRICEY they are. If I have one and never need to use it, do I want to pay $30-$60 a month (and more) for the privilege of having it? There are a lot of things I've given up because of rising cost of living, and I'm not ready to give something else up to wear a device 24/7.

    1. I had no idea they were that pricey. I know that Aunt Happy has one that's issued by the place she lives but it only goes to their staff. I think it's included in her rent cause almost everybody there wears one.

  5. You have a good week-end, enjoy your family's company and tell us all about it after they fly back.

    1. They didn't get in until late last night (late by NY time) so I haven't talked to them yet this morning.

  7. I agree with MsBelinda. Being with your family will perk you up. Getting older is seriously the pits. How did I not realize what was coming up?

    1. I didn't realize it either - I have always felt great and not so old, and then one day I was just wiped out!
