My youngest son stopped by with his two girls this morning, and it was great to see them.  They went to Disneyland last week and the girls had a lot to tell me about the rides they went on.  Joe starts back to school next Tuesday.

I spent a couple of hours earlier in the morning doing some shredding of old tax returns, insurance papers, etc.  It amounted to a large plastic garbage bag full, and I intend to do a lot more.  I got rid of tax returns from the 1990's and early 2000's and insurance stuff from my RV's.  I tend to save way more paperwork than is necessary but have finally gotten it down to the most basic documents.

The next thing I need to do is to organize my tool box.  The thing is, I usually bring it out when Steve or Donald are here and fixing something, which is why I hate to throw out anything they might need later.

Tomorrow is Friday already?  Scary, because Friday was just a couple of days ago.

  1. I bet those girls had plenty tell you about their trip. :)
I did some stredding to but have plenty to do also. I have my dad's tax papers and he has been gone for 3 1/2 yrs now. I save to much also. Glad to know I am not alone in this paper trail.

  2. How true your last comment. I keep saying time can't go by any more quickly than it is but it seems to. Friday was yesterday and here it is again tomorrow. As for paper it seems to pile up even on the road. We only get our mail once a month and yet we have papers and more papers. I envy you shredding all that and having it "disappear". At least it biodegrates easily.

  6. I save all my old paperwork in a large plastic bag and then when there is a campfire I use it to burn it all up.
