Slowly but Surely!

I'm working my best to get things done in my move, and Jeannie has been an exceptional help.  She finds a place to put everything away, and I search to find things I need, haha.  Next thing I need to do is to clean the floors.  There is hardwood everywhere except the kitchen and bathrooms, and it isn't in the best of shape; the former tenants had a big dog and the floors show it.  So I'm going to live with trying to keep them clean and waxed, and not complain about scratches - Rocky is busy adding his to the former doggie tenant.

Speaking of the boy, he loves the backyard but I'm sure he misses the play with other dogs.  For some reason, I hurt so bad all over I can barely take him for a walk anymore, and limit the distance when I do.  Additionally, there is broken and cracked pavement along the way, whereas I did have to walk in the streets of the mobile home park, but they were maintained  and in excellent condition.

My new washing machine can't get here too soon!  The dirty laundry pile on the floor of my closet continues to rise, as my stacks of clean clothes continue to recede!

My Alarm System!

I hope you can make out the details of Rocky's face.  It's such a beautiful face but very difficult to photograph because of his color.  I have an appointment for him to be groomed, bathed, and pampered for two hours on Thursday, and since Ara is in town for a couple of weeks, she will take me to Costco while Rocky is being taken care of.

I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures of my new place yet -- I've taken lots of photos but am no longer good with framing pictures.  I always had a good eye for composition, but using a phone to take a picture is completely foreign to me.  I will eventually get some together that pass my now-very-loose standards and do a blog with all pictures.

  2. Your gorgeous puppy looks happy, healthy and loved. Omega 3 may help you not hurt all over, it's a natural anti- inflammatory, 60% of people using ibuprofen for pain stopped needing that after beginning to take Omega 3. - Mary

    1. Thanks, but I think I've been taking Omega 3 for a while along with some other supplements. I don't know why it isn't working now. I don't take ibuprofen or anything like that. I hope I wpn't require any sort of prescription meds.

  4. Rocky is a beautiful boy/Lab and what a happy little face he has. I started back on Omega 3 a couple of weeks ago and have not been taking ibuprofen like I was. Might be good to check to see if you are taking the recommended dosage. My bottle says to take one gel tab three times a day with food. Just a thought.

    1. When I go to Costco tomorrow I am going to buy the Omega 3 and start taking it again. I sure hope it helps, and I noted that they suggest taking one tablet 3 times a day with food. Thanks to you and everyone who recommended it.

  5. It is understandable that the move has been hard on your body I think it would happen to anyone regardless of age. Give yourself some time to recuperate.

Thank you for posting a picture of Rocky, I made it bigger so I could see his features and he is a handsome boy with sparkly eyes.

    1. The place is looking better already. Ara and her fiance Steve, have helped me get my dryer working and the washing machine was delivered this morning. I already washed a load of socks & underwear and dried them on the deck railing! Tomorrow I start doing laundry in earnest.

  6. Oh wow - He's so much bigger! He really is a handsome boy! And good for him for catching the possum! That means he'll also keep away any rodents in the neighborhood.

I think the soreness must be from all the moving and moving-related work you've been doing. Slow down a bit!
