    Beautiful area to hike in. And look at how good Rocky's "sit" is. Good boy.

      He seems to be learning everything so quickly now, including new things to mess us, such as my newly planted garden!

    Looks like a really nice place to hike. Like Rocky's back pack. I was wondering about the garden. Needs a fence

      It will eventually be fenced. Araand I have become regular shoppers at Ace Hardware and bought fencing. Now to put it up!

    Looks like a lot of fun. Sounds like your in pretty good shape
    for that hike.
    Do you have to check your dog for ticks after the hike?

      After the hike Jeannie called to tell me she found two ticks crawling across her arm, and Autumn found one also. I checked Rocky on kone side (he was so tired he refused to move so I could check his other side), but then I remember I use monthly flea and tick protection on him. It works on ticks that cause Lyme disease as well. In all my years of hiking in tick infested areas, I have never so much as had one crawl on me, I checked and especially my hair, but I don't worry so much about it. I really should get something to spray on myself to prevent them but never seem to remember.

    Rocky looks so big and I love his little backpack. I do not think I could have made that hike, kudos to you both!

      Thank you, I'd like to hike again but not quite that many miles, at least not yet. I think both Rocky and I have taken it much easier since we've been back.
