I think I accomplish a lot in spite of being so tired all the time, but I wonder if it's just the result of growing older and dealing with a youngster 24/7. Every once in a while I wonder how much longer I will be able to deal with him, but I know I can't do anything else but deal with him. He's sleeping on the couch next to me now and is so drop-dead gorgeous it amazes me every time I look at him. He minds so well and does what I tell him except for when someone comes to the door, and then he is overwhelmed with excitement. If the person(s) at the door is Jeannie or any of her family, then the excitement is ten times greater. And the excitement and exuberance can't be contained!
The chewing is another problem. He chews everything that has stuffing in it, and see what he's done with the pad in his crate.
The stuffing you see in the photos is only a small portion of it - I've thrown so much away already.
I'm having a difficult time getting started this morning. It is nearly noon and I'm still in pj's, and following the same old crap on the computer - not this blogsite, by the way, but the political crap.
I think this is Presidents' Day so we won't have mail delivery today. If you work, I hope it's a holiday for you. I have been retired for years, but still knock off any kind of "work" on federal holidays! Enjoy the day.

I understand about not doing anything and sitting here reading things. I finally pushed myself out the door about 11:30 am to buy weed killer and a new sprayer. Picked up 2gl jug of weed killer and mailed an important document I was thrilled with myself. Until I broke the seal on the weed killer to disconver it was but spray. GRrr. Fred dosn't chew his beds he digs holes in them and pulls our the stuffing.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with dogs and stuffing. It must be common with some dogs, because they sell "stuffed" toys with no stuffing. They are as flat as a pancake, lol.
DeleteI need to get some weed killer - the grass looks great since I have a gardener cutting it twice a month, but I notice a few patches of weeds. At least they are green!
We are about the same age and I too, don't get accomplished what I used to in a day. One thing I do is take a Vitamin B-12 tablet everyday along with my multi-vitamins. I feel it makes a difference in my energy level. Last summer my doctor took me off my vitamins and supplement for a several weeks while addressing a health issue. By the time I was able to resume then I could sure see a difference in my energy level. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check to see what I take. I'm trying to quit all the vitamins as I'm not sure if they make a difference or not. I won't let them go to waste, so I will stop one when I run out of it, and so on. Oh, now I remember, my daughter gives me a B-12 shot every month. I can't really tell the difference, but I might notice it if I stopped taking it.
DeleteI know what you mean by always being tired. I forced myself out the door because I needed to run so many errands before the rain and another cold front arrives.
ReplyDeleteThe new cat that arrived is causing me a lot of problems the boys do not like him and I have to feed them inside the house away from him and then run outside while there are eating to feed him. I am too old for this!
I can understand how much hassle that would be. If I had another animal or two to feed they would all get fed at the same time. I've never cared for cats, but as I get older I see the value and beauty in all animals, wild and domestic.
DeleteI love Rachel Maddow of MSNBC as she explains things clearly and in a manner, any person would understand. I know you do not have a TV but she is also on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend today's show I am watching it for the second time because her show was so good this evening. It is shocking and mind-boggling.
She featured a book that is coming out tomorrow called "Dark Towers" by David Enrich who she had as her guest tonight. Like people say...follow the money...and he did.
It involves his relationship with Deutsche Bank, Trump's ties to organize crime, Trump's and Kushner's businesses serving as laundromats for rich Russians dirty money and so many other things.
Thank you for the tip about Rachel's show and her guest. I sometimes watch her youtubes although I haven't had many show up recently. The way she speaks (talks) always made me a little crazy - I know she is a good speaker and is very thorough and logical, but somehow she just always grated on me. I have recently seen a couple of her youtube videos and found her to be extremely easy to follow, so I would like to watch more of her.
DeleteDoesn't it make you wonder how the U.S. ever got into this mess? We knew Trump lost the election, and we knew the electoral college cheated and threw the election to him. We knew the Russians interfered. And yet we've allowed over 3 years of this nutcase to destroy our standing in the world and our democratic institutions. He's so obviously crazy so why do we have to wait for the next election to get rid of him. And you just wonder how many people will turn out to vote in November, or if they will just ignore it all. And most of all, why in the world would we even entertain the thought of another billionaire to be elected. And why are children still in cages at the border. I hope the next administration takes swift action against anyone from ICE who served along the border. They are demons, plain and simple. No better than Nazis.
Lol, Rachel does have a unique way of talking and making a lot of gestures, it is part of her charm.
DeleteWe are here in this moment in time thanks to Russian Intelligence and their ability to zero in on vulnerable citizens, not just American but of many nationalities that they could in time use, bribe or coheres and of course, this President with his FOUR bankruptcies and need for big infusions of capital made him the ideal target.
Not to mention that Putin hated Hillary Clinton and if she became President would not remove the sanctions set forth by the Obama administration. However, they saw in Trump a person who could be manipulated due to his ambition, lack of principles, void of scruples, etc. etc. and they were right.
After that, we have the Republican party to blame. Never saw such cowards, sissies, and spineless politicians. Now they have a President gone rogue because they failed to impeach him. It is up to us to VOTE HIM OUT.
I have faith in WE THE PEOPLE and have been pleasantly surprised at how many people have been going to caucus in Las Vegas and standing in line for up to three hours.
This President is the worst one in our history and everyone knows it. I believe people will turn out in droves in November. I know I will be there if it is the last thing I do.
