Is it me, or?

I have long been wondering why, in light of the financial problems in our country (as well as the rest of the world), are we spending money on a "Space Force"!  What is more important to people - colonizing the moon, landing probes on the planets, and reaching the stars; or should the people of our own planet Earth, in wealthy as well as in poor countries, take precedence.  You can be sure that whatever money has been allocated for all this space exploration, is teeming with waste, fraud, and abuse!    There is a portion of the federal budget that is totally unknown and off limits to citizens and even most politicians, and I don't think that is right and shouldn't be lawful.  Whatever happened to the idea of transparency in government, and how our hard-earned tax dollars are spent.  Are we still paying for these dark programs in the midst of a global pandemic, with so many Americans out of work and going hungry?  One of these days, or even years, there will be a revolution against all the secrecy and graft in government, and I hope I'm around to witness it and to cheer it on.  And I hope the perpetrators hang!

  1. Can you tell I am sick and tired of being cooped up like an animal in a pen or cage? It didn't have to be this way, if someone with half a brain could have seen this coming back at the first of the year (I certainly did), and nipped it in the early stages.

    1. It was so obvious and anyone could see a disaster coming, except of course, for the bumbler in chief and his minions. I am totally disgusted and I think it will be years before our country gets back on an even keel with really good leaders.

  3. My thoughts exactly. Isn't it enough to ruin one globe? We can't even take care of our home planet, but we're spending all that money on exploring space. Never mind, that, from what I have read, all those spaceships cause huge amounts of air pollution. Also, what about the deal, that, not only are we paying all that money for a wall, we need to pay millions (billions?) more to paint it black to suit his highness? But we can't begin to take care of all the families lined up at the food banks. We can't even provide PPE for our medical people. Crazy!

    1. It will be interesting to see if the new president will tear down most of that monstrosity of a wall. To think we have our own Berlin Wall!

  4. I could not agree more Gypsy. We do not need a Space Force or a damn wall. If Liar-in-Chief had only paid attention to science and the scientist he recently fired who tried to warn everyone in higher up positions of this pandemic but they chose not to listen to him.

I have never liked Howard Stern who always had Trump on his show and they were apparently friends. However, if even he can have his blinders removed and now sees Trump for what he is and is not scared to speak about it...my hat is off to him and for also telling his audience that if they are Trump supporters he does not want them to listen to his show.
