Just to let you know I;m alive but not kickin'!. This is probably the worst and most painful thing that has ever happened to me. This morning I messaged my dr to ask for something stronger for the pain, so I wanted to make a quick post before I start taking new meds. Poor Rocky - Jeannie tries to get over most evenings to take him for a walk. He doesn't realize he is to blame for this entire situation, and I certainly have very little patience with him.
I see the doctor on Wednesday to see if I might need surgery. I hope not as that would set me back to square one with pain.
I hope to write something more cheerful in my next post!

ReplyDeleteMaybe it's time to consider hiring a professional dog walker.? Or - there are so many people out of work now that it might be a Godsend for someone to earn some cash. It will probably be at least 4 to 6 months before you can walk Rocky yourself. Check Facebook or your church or let Jeannie network for help. Sorry you are in so much pain. Prayers for a successful recovery.
ReplyDeleteI sure am sorry to hear that you are still in so much pain. Sure hope they can figure it out for you. Maybe it's time to find Rocky another home. I know you love him no matter what but he has so much energy and he's a pretty strong boy. Just worry about you.

ReplyDeleteI think you know you should never attempt to walk Rocky again. Luckily you have a great big yard for him to run around in.
I am getting another xray on Wed. and thatt should confirm there were 14 or more broken bones. I just hope I dont need surgery.
DeleteI, too, hope you don't need surgery. I am so sorry about this whole thing. Not fair! I certainly KNOW that you wouldn't consider giving Rocky away. He is your baby. Good that Jeannie is able to help with walks. I wish you could find someone else to lend a hand, too. I have no idea how expensive that might be. Thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteI know you do not like to take medication so when you say that you need stronger medication...that is a red flag you are in serious pain!

And I am totally out of everything except baby aspirin, yet can't get a doctor to prescribe something for me. I've looked at OTC;s but there are too many to choose from when you are unfamiliar with how they work or the side effects.
