There is a movement building for the women who lean toward the liberal side. On Tuesday it is suggested that we all wear pearls in honor of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I got my beautiful pearl necklace out of the jewelry box so I won't forget. It will look so nice with my jeans or sweatpants. No one will see it because I'm not going to even open my door, and will have to exercise Rocky in the back yard!

I have never owned a pearl necklace. But I can pretend. Not going anywhere on Tuesday and not watching news.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm definitely not stepping foot outside my front door! The pearls are symbolic.
DeleteI was never a fan of pearls so I do not own a pearl necklace. I wish I could stay locked in my house but have a dental app.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if my pearls were a gift or if I bought them, but their luster and beauty takes my breath away.
DeleteI would gladly honor RBG but I am just now reading your blog and the bank lobby closed at 5:00 p.m.
ReplyDeleteThree years ago after our neighbors' house burnt to the ground on the 4th of July thanks to fireworks...Mom and I decided to get a safe deposit box for our important papers and jewelry.
I think any old necklace would do - costume jewelry, etc. Doesn't have to be pearls - Just call them pearls. If I had no jewelry to wear I think I would tie a scarf around my neck - it's just a symbolic thing, and I respected RBG so much I want to take part in it.
