Jeannie and I went to a farmer's market this morning, and on the way home we drove through the mobile home park so she could take a look at my "new house". Here are a couple of shots, and keep in mind it will cost me only what I want to put into it. My first priority will be updating the interior. An identical model is located a few doors away, and the man who bought it really fixed it up on the outside. It looks very nice, so I have something to strive for, as well as a person who has already dealt with the same house and can maybe share some suggestions and experiences with me.

Wow! That's nice! Where is it? In Sac or RC?
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is the nicest free house I have ever seen. You must be VERY excited. An amazing story of how this just "happened" for you. Congratulations
ReplyDeleteNice place. Live in it awhile before you do any major work on it.
ReplyDeleteMy mother moved to a 55+ mobile home community four years ago and has been busier that she would even have been if she had stayed in her brick home. She has made some wonderful friends.
ReplyDeleteThere is a doublewide across the street from her that my husband and I have thought about buying. But, for now we are trying to planning to buy a fifth wheel to travel around in for awhile. When we are ready to be a little more grounded to one spot we will look for a mobile home for sale in the community my mother lives in. They also have a place to store RV's and some of the lots already have parking pads where they park fifth wheels and motor homes. This will allow us to have a home base and still be able to travel some.
I think you found a diamond in the rough and I hope you are able to fix it to your taste and have many happy years in your new home.
Just caught up with your last 3 posts and am sooooo happy for you. In fact your post inspired part of my post tonight. Talk about being in the right place at the right time for you and hey, I know what your saying about that TV 'God' network a couple posts ago. Good for you:)) Again, congrats on your new digs and I can feel your excitement way up here in Canada. Now, get stirrin up some paint.........:))
ReplyDeleteI like the porch! I can just see your hummingbird feeder hanging there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a deal you fell into. I hope this puts you at peace.
I am very happy for you. It is amazing how life sometimes deals us great cards. I'm sure you will have fun getting the place to your liking.
ReplyDeleteWow that place has been taken care of really well. It should serve you well. Glad you found it, what luck..... Rod
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be so cool when you get it all fixed up. Really nice lot it's on. You're going to have fun fixing it up just how you want it.
ReplyDeleteWHAT A BLESSING! PRAISE THE LORD.
ReplyDeleteGypsy, that's beautiful. You really fell into a swell deal at the right price. You have covered parking, and a large enough place, but not too large. Great! And a flowering tree.
ReplyDeleteWow. Wish our little town had something like that. Was in one a few years back, about an hour away, and yes, i would love it. Really happy for u.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with your new place. I see and add on what room is that? And a wonderful porch to sit out on. Enjoy it.
