Thanksgiving Day, 2010

I hope you all had a very nice Thanksgiving Day.

Here are a few photos I've taken - a sunset and a morning picture:

And a couple that were taken while walking in the desert with Lady:

Here is my camper with the truck parked nearby:

We took a looonng walk around the Park, along the road, into the desert, and back into the Park this morning, and then Lady just collapsed on her bed. Dave drove me to a couple of little towns in the vicinity, but of course there isn't much going on Thanksgiving Day. Tomorrow we plan to start attaching the tie-downs to the truck that will hold the camper in place. There are still a lot of steps before we can load it on the truck, but this coming week will show a lot of progress. Meanwhile I'm learning to live in it.

  2. Nice to see some 'on the road' pictures again coming out of Gypsy land. Won't be long & the big Turtle will have it's new Lance house strapped on & heading down the road. Very fortunate that you have someone like Dave to spend the time familiarizing you with your new mobile digs. Going to be some adjustments for sure getting used to something much smaller than you are used to but the operating word for the day is...'cozy:))'

  4. It must be nice to be able to go to sleep without having to listen to the neighbors upstairs all night.

It is good to see you "on the road again."

  5. Nice spot you are camped at. Looks like you and the dog have plenty of open space to explore. Enjoy.

  6. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving day. Aren't the sunset in the desert just beautiful? I like the Bayfield Bunch's word for the day "cozy". Cozy can really be good especially when it comes to cleaning. Enjoy your new home away from home.

  8. So, are you enjoying learning to live in it? How long before you do some wandering on your own? :)
