Of all places, the blinds are in the kitchen, so they have a film on them that I have to get off with Pine Sol and water.Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-26778569539435691882016-08-25T10:23:03.405-04:002016-08-25T10:23:03.405-04:00I have been using the swiffer for years and never ...I have been using the swiffer for years and never had a problem with them sliding off, I also use the fluffy thing to do my blinds. Just not your cup of tea I guess. I don't know if it's a U.S. or World map. I'm thinking a kids' atlas (maybe even an adult atlas) would be fun. I have a $5 off coupon from the money I spend on kids' books (this is the 2nd one I've received), plus my regular member discount, so I can let him select what he wants.

I keep wanting to go to B&N to see their selection of large print books but always have a kid with me so I don't take the time to browse for myself. I also need a new larger print crossword puzzle book. I'm nearly finished with the one I have, so I need a trip to B&N for just me one of these days. It isn't the same without a kid in tow!Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-35576573304905723732016-08-25T09:38:46.354-04:002016-08-25T09:38:46.354-04:00I visited my grandma on the farm in KY every year ...I visited my grandma on the farm in KY every year when I was little. It was my reward for having to help with the younger kids in the family, I think. My grandma was straight laced but she was fun and tried to make me enjoy my stay. It helped that my aunt was only 8 yrs older than me, and she took me everywhere she went.Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-1385705238655917542016-08-25T09:36:46.710-04:002016-08-25T09:36:46.710-04:00Thanks for your "gap" remembrances. I think my cousins teased me about it when I was little, but it didn't bother me all that much.

the new Swiffer is exactly like the old, but for some reason the pad doesn't stay tucked in those four spots. I'll try it again next time I clean the floor.Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-85746097313969893582016-08-25T09:07:37.490-04:002016-08-25T09:07:37.490-04:00I agree totally with you about the swiffer and tho...I agree totally with you about the swiffer and those fluffy dusters. Tried them both and what a waste of money. There is no way around a rag, a mop and a broom IMO. You and your grandson will have a wonderful time at the bookstore. What a great birthday present. Maybe you should share your California map with him.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00328866430156879312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-12002489782943722972016-08-25T01:25:50.297-04:002016-08-25T01:25:50.297-04:00Going to the dentist has always been more traumati...Going to the dentist has always been more traumatizing than seeing a regular doctor for me. At least you got that out the way.

You are a dotting grandmother and your grand kids will always have good memories to remember you by. I wish I could say the same about my grandmother but back when I was young you were not allowed to speak to adults unless you were spoken to first. I can not remember one single conversation I had with her...not because of my CRS...but sadly because we never had one.MsBelindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09035993834877022676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-79311845408982385642016-08-25T00:17:37.416-04:002016-08-25T00:17:37.416-04:00Mom had the dentist put the gap between her front ...Mom had the dentist put the gap between her front teeth in her upper plate. Nobody was the wiser. My older sister was so traumatized by having a gap she got braces as an adult and still has to wear a retainer at 71 or the gap will come back. Me? I got a gap, never was a big deal and still isn't. Sometimes, I wish I could spit watermelon seeds like Mom through my gap, but it just isn't wide enough.

Doesn't your Swiffer have four spots in the corners on top, to tuck and pinch the corners of the wet-wipes?Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06530748998376076224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-12179959180732551222016-08-24T21:44:42.079-04:002016-08-24T21:44:42.079-04:00I don't know why the new unit didn't do so...I don't know why the new unit didn't do so well, but the old one was fine. It's not that I'm a cleaning freak, but it is really time to do the venetian blinds - they are filthy! All the dust & dirt that blows in is hard for me to deal with these days.Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785311472371282139.post-28568770021181234302016-08-24T21:05:37.129-04:002016-08-24T21:05:37.129-04:00Glad that is behind you.
